What is MISSING SHEEP?
"Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture." Psalm 100:3

Many Christians know someone who stepped away from their faith; one of God's sheep who has wandered from the sheepfold and is living in this tumultuous world without their Shepherd. Even more common are the sheep who have never known the joy of walking with Jesus, the Good Shepherd.

Jesus told us "If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won't he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn't wander away! In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father's will that even one of these little ones should perish." (Matthew 18:12-14)

It is our duty as Christians to bring the missing sheep back to pasture. Our prayer at Missing Sheep is that each time a garment is worn, the wearer is gifted the opportunity to engage in a conversation sharing the hope of salvation; the Great Commission.

The Great Commission

After Jesus was resurrected he told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20).

While we are not all called to become missionaries, all believers are disciples and are called to spread The Good News. Learn how on our Mission page.
